Webb25 apr. 2015 · On my male hatchlings i can pop really easy on some males, and thats 100% male, but sometimes i dont pop anything and the probe goes to deep like +4scales, and othertimes poping males but probing only 2, 3 or 4 scales. best regards. Webb18 aug. 2024 · Just firmly hold the snake and gently push the probe in until it stops, then count the number of caudal scales (belly scutes of the tail). If more than 3-4 it’s a boy. Most of the time you can tell even without counting because if the probe stops almost immediately it’s female, if it goes in fairly deep it’s a boy.
