WebJust had the motor built to hold 250hp comfortably. It's a 1.6 with a 2871r turbo. Can't remember what size injectors I bought for it originally but was having to run a 90% duty cycle to keep a happy AFR at 12psi. For the new build I know I'm going to have to run more boost to reach my goal hp. WebI made it through 4 gears to 7500rpm with a TD04E @ ~35psi on a completely stock engine. Same turbo with 11psi made 274rwhp, so by the numbers that was probably pretty close at the crank. WebMar 8, 2013 · If you want a Miata diff, you're stuck with a 3.636 as the highest (and most expensive) option. Best you'll do from a junkyard is going to be 3.9. Going rate is $500-800, ignoring outliers. There are aftermarket options such as the OS Giken, but they're in the $1500 range for the diff alone. $900-1100 (new) CTS comes in 3.7, 3.4 and 3.2. By the time you hit 6,000 rpm, the air-fuel ratio is down to 11:1 — and you still have nearly 1,000 rpm to go before you shift. WebIt also makes rev matching a lot easier and the engine will feel more responsive overall. It does require a bit more of a considered touch when starting from a stop, but nothing that's annoying.
