WebBishop Andrewes is one of two sibling Anglican churches serving the estate of St Helier in South London. We are a small community who desire to make Jesus the heart of our estate community. A number of community events take place in our premises during the week. WebThe Conference voted 110 to 69 on a resolution to dispose Andrew as bishop until his connection to slavery had ended. The southern clergy, many of whom were also slave owners, split from their Northern counterparts and formed an independent body, which they called the Methodist Episcopal Church South.
